Bluefields Old Great House showing cannons
The great house on the old Bluefields sugar estate in Westmoreland. There is a cannon in the front yard near the staircase.
Bluefields House
The Bluefields Great House, occupied by naturalist Philip Henry Gosse for a period of eighteen months between 1844 to 1845, while carrying out his research on Westmoreland. It was once a sugar estate.
The Mannings School, Westmoreland, Jamaica
Front view of one of the buildings on the Mannings School grounds. The Mannings School owes its existence to Thomas Manning, landed proprietor of Burnt Savannah, Westmoreland who died in 1710.
