            Description
"Jamaican actor Charles Hyatt plays Joe in "Love Thy Neighbour", a Hammer picture for Anglo-EMI which opens in London today. This is a large-screen version of the successful version of the successful Independent Television Comedy Series of the same title. Earlier this year, the series won the S.F.T.A. Award for the best TV Comedy Series in the United Kingdom. In the film Joe has come to London from the West Indies for the first time to visit his son. He becomes friendly with Annie (Patricia Hayes) the widowed mother of Joan (Kate Williams), who is the wife of his son's archenemy and next-door neighbour. The plot thickens when everyone thinks that the two elderly parents, Joe and Annie are on the verge of getting married. it all adds up to delightful comedy - largely emanating from the superb performances of Charles Hyatt and Patricia Hayes. It is Charles Hyatt's first starring role in a feature film."
