"Woman behold thy son - While Mary the mother of Jesus [Margaret Newland] views in anguish her son on the cross, John the youngest disciple [Richard Mitchell] comforts her. it's a scene from Easton Lee's "The Rope and the Cross" which will be playing this Sunday, at the St. Andrew Parish Church, starting at 4pm. Leading players in the production include Leonie Forbes, John Francis, Roonie Chambers, Fay Ellington, Geoff Fairweather. Assistant director of the play is Tenny Miller, with costumes by Jean Lee and Trevor Murray and props and banners by Allison Stimpson."
