George Phillip - Hospital Committee Member

"Gift hospital bed from Ohio: Mr. George Phillip, Committee Member, and Mrs. Paula Baugh, Co-ordinator, both of the Jamaica America Medical Assistance Committee [JAMAC] assist Mr. Kenneth Dixon [right] of the St. Ann's Bay Hospital to load ten electric beds for that hospital's intensive care unit. Part of a gift of 86 electric beds from the Deaconess Hospital in Ohio, they were collected from the Ministry of Health's Princess Street Depot on May 19. Sent to 15 local hospitals, the gifts were channelled though JAMAC, after being secured by Mrs. Dulcie Ann Sherlock of the Hospital Relief Fund for the Caribbean in Washington."
