Overturned truck in St. Ann
Title
Overturned truck in St. Ann
Description
"At a sharp corner one mile from Moneague, St. Ann this truck, leaving Mount Diablo for Ocho Rios, overturned with five people aboard. Wilton Thompson, 15 was killed. His father Lebert, and the driver, 30-year-old George Campbell received minor injuries. They were thrown out when the air brakes failed and the truck mounted the bank. The bereaved father said they lived in River Head and were waiting for the bus to Ocho Rios, when they were offered a lift by Campbell.
The bus they should have taken was (unknown to them) just behind, with those aboard witnessing the tragic incident.
At right: Outside the KPH morgue yesterday, hospital workers and onlookers mill about after orderly James Wilson was officially pronounces dead - for the second time."
