Waterloo Road at the intersection of Old Hope

"Fatal accidents: The body of an unidentified man lies at left shortly after an accident involving a pedal cycle and a police Land Cruiser along Waterloo Road near its intersection with Hope Road yesterday morning. The Police Information Centre said the land cruiser and the bicycle were travelling in opposite directions at about 7.45 am. when the cyclist cut across the path of the land cruiser. Driver Constable Lawrence was said to have swerved to avoid the accident but did not succeed. The cyclist is about 28 years old and about 5 feet 7 inches tall."
