"Mrs. Ouida Rickgards, Chairperson of the Friends of the National Chest Hospital [NCH], pins the first fund-raising tag on the Governor-General Florizel Glasspole while he puts his contribution into the tin, at Kings House on Tuesday, March 25. The launching of the Fund is one of several activities marking the 40th anniversary of the NCH and aimed at raising $100,000 to buy a stand-by generator and to repair the roof. Others in the picture are Mrs. Clevetti Soares [holding the tin] and Mrs. Lena Davis an attendant at the hospital."
