Description
Passengers of the Governor's Coach standing on the outside and looking on as a woman hands a floral arrangement to a man and woman. This special rail service was offered to tourists wishing to tour the countryside of Jamaica. The coach would leave Montego Bay at 10:00 am and stops were made in districts such as, Anchovy, Catadupa and Ipswich with a lunch stop at Maggotty. After dining the Coach returned to Montego Bay. Along the journey, passengers were afforded an opportunity to learn about local crops, culture as well as have nature walks through the countryside. The Governor’s Coach was designed with the comfort of passengers in mind, with spacious legroom, movable lounge chairs as well as music all throughout the six hour train ride.
