"Jamaican Kevin Spence of Ocho Rios teaches American guest, Mary Farmer, of St. Louis, Missouri, to play his favourite card game when she participated in the Jamaica Tourist Board's "Meet the People" experience at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Brown of Ocho Rios recently. "Meet the People" hospitality was extended to about 30 passengers of their cruise ship. Starward, who met with similar number of Jamaicans to share thoughts and ideas about common interests in a homely and relaxed atmosphere. The JTB's Meet the People programme is now in its 10th year, and since its inception, many lasting friendships have been built between visitors and Jamaicans."
