Anton, a revolutionary leader, played by Arthur Newland congratulates the mother, 'Mrs. Vlassova', played by Isoline Meeks, after she distributes pamphlets in the factory - a scene from The Mother, opening May 1 at 7:30 p.m. at the Ward Theatre. Set in early 20th century Russia, the play, performed by the theatre group for national liberation, deals with the universal workers struggle for liberation. Other performances will be at the Cultural Training Centre May 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, and 14."
