"Kingston clinched a 46-run victory over Melbourne in the finals of the Kensington 6-a-side cricket competition yesterday at Kensington. With six overs left yesterday and Melbourne needing 63 runs to win in reply to their rival's 96, they were all out for 51 following a sudden burst by Ronnie Savariau who took 3 for 12 in 2 overs. Victory was wrapped up with the last ball of the seventh over with Barrington Saunders out lbw to Savariau for four. The top batsmen for Melbourne were Errol Peart who hot 23 and Carlton Carter with 16.
