Title

Box drink van

Description

"Out of accident sweets: If this van looks pretty shaken up it is understandable because our cameraman happened along just after it had been put back on its four wheels after overturning and spilling its load of assorted concentrated box drinks.

The van overturned while negotiating a sharp corner on entering Hector's River in Portland. Driver Markland Priestly of a Kingston address got pinned but was pulled out by Robert Brown of a Kingston address who was one of three men travelling in the van at the time and who escaped with only minor injuries. The other man, Linval Anderson also of Kingston, was rushed by passing motorists to hospital together with the driver Priestly and they were admitted.

But for some the story had a sweet and pleasant ending, for after their physical contribution those who restored the van to its proper posture refreshed themselves with the concentrated box drinks, as did other who just happened along."
