"Curious onlookers inspect the wreckage of this Morris Minor motor car which left the roadway of a Jamaica Sugar Estates road in St. Thomas and ended up in a canal last Wednesday. Driver Dervin Webley, 17, of Stokes Hall who had driven out the vehicle from the Labour and Employment Training Centre at Hordley was admitted to the Isaac Barrant Hospital with broken legs. Three other occupants of the car, Norman Reid of Rocky Point, Hugh Malcolm of Duckenfield and Kenneth Thompson of Hampton Court were also injured. The roof of the car had to be torn off to remove the occupants."
