"This plate is designed to represent the British Fleet in pursuit of the Flying Enemy, with their Van beginning the Attack which commenced between Four and Five o Clock in the Evening, and continued till Two o Clock the next Morning, and tho the weather was tempestuous with a heavy Seam the following Ships of the Enemy were taken & destroyed.

Phoenix, 80 Guns, The Spanish Admiral Taken.
Monarco, 70 Guns, Taken
San Julian, 70 Taken & afterwards went on Shore
San Eugenio, 70 Taken, afterwards went on Shore & Lost
Princessa, 70 Guns, Taken
San Domingo, 70 Guns, Blown up in Action
Diligente, 70 Taken.
