Clarence 'Nobby' Clarke

"Champion horseracing tipster for 1973, Clarence "Nobby" Clarke (right), shown receiving his $500 prize and silver cup, donated by racing promoters Caymanas Park Limited, on Wednesday evening at the Courtleigh Manor Hotel from Caymanas Park vice-president Richard Ashenheim. Nobby topped the tipsters' competition with 163 winning selections, his closest rival being JBC-TV's Headley Thompson with 154 winners.
