Crash - Mount Diablo Hill
Title
Crash - Mount Diablo Hill
Description
"Lack of road discipline can [result in] much more than what happened in this accident scene...The motor-car at left just missed plunging into a 30-feet ravine with the assistance of the utility pole at left. The near-tragedy occurred last Saturday after the tipper truck at right, loaded with cement, was parked in the left hand corner of Mount Diablo Hill under repair, without any warning. The trailer (centre) travelling in the same direction unaware of the tipper, swerved to prevent a crash when it came face to face with the motor car travelling in the opposite direction, which in its bid to avoid a head-on collision ended up in the utility pole. The motor car was driven by Basil Hunter of Moneague who with his family was going to church at Ewarton. They sustained only slight injuries."
