"The KSAC Fire Department's emergency tender (truck) was standing by yesterday evening to transport patients from the Kingston Public Hospital now closed. Also standing by was a vehicle of the Jamaica Defence Force, whose soldiers have been doing a mammoth task while the ancillary workers have been taking industrial action. The 460-bed hospital is expected to be empty until the situation improves."
