"Fire of unknown origin gutted this building owned by the United Fruit Company (Ja.). Ltd. at Bowden Hill in St. Thomas last Monday. The occupants, Yallahs Secondary School bursar Louis Robinson and his wife Rose, who is in charge of the Morant Bay post office, were away from home attending a St. Thomas Kiwanis Club meeting at the time of the fire. They lost all their belongings."
