Description
Photograph of the cross-shaped cenotaph adjacent to Church Street, Kingston. The cenotaph is surrounded by public buildings and palm trees. Several cars are parked along the street. This Jamaica War Monument was originally erected in 1922 in memory of those who died in the First World War. In 1953, the cenotaph was dismantled and re-erected at the National Heroes Park.
