"'The Car' features strongly, as VIP's congregate in the background to discuss her attributes! This new Australia Ford 'Falcon' Police car specially built to withstand the rigors of the Australian Outback, was presented on Tuesday, August 3 to the Hon. Winston Spaulding, Minister of National Security (center, in dark glasses) by Kingston Industrial Garage's General manager, Mr. Roy DeSouza (4th right). The 'Falcon' came straight from one of Ford-Australian Police Force, and supplied to the Jamaican Government under the auspices of the Australian Government. His Excellency Mr. Reginald Little, Australian High Commission, (4th from left) was on hand to witness the handover. The car will undergo several months of tests and assessment, following which a decision will be made as to whether it is suited to Jamaican conditions, and to purchase a number of them to upgrade the local police fleet.'
