"Getting ready: The Jamaica Cricket Board of Control's plans to improve the facilities at Sabina Park are being executed. The plans, which include better and more seating accommodation, plus cafeteria service, are proposed to take in the entire southern section from the grandstand round to the bleachers and the grounds. But for the MCC for early next year only the famous 'grounds' are being tackled. The popular lignum vitae tree have disappeared, and in their place is a huge metal uncovered stand designed to seat 3,000 spectators."
