Contemporary Chamber Dance Group of New York

"The Contemporary Chamber Dance Group of New York is one of two American performing companies which will appear in Kingston beginning August 15. The second group, "The Voices of Black persuasion," of the National Centre for Afro-American Artists will present a programme of folk, pop and Gospel music plus Langston Hughes' Gospel musical "Black Nativity." Both groups will perform here following appearances at the Second New World Festival of the Africa Diaspora in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti. Sponsored by the International Communication Agency of the U.S. Embassy, the performances of both groups will be for the benefit of the Institute of Jamaica in commemoration of its 100th anniversary...The Contemporary Chamber Dance Group of New York, offering works by black American choreographers , will present two performances at the War Theatre on August 16 and 17 at 7:00pm. Tickets are now on sale at the Little Theatre box office and at ICA on the first floor of the Mutual Life Centre. Prices are $4. and $5 for the Contemporary Chamber Dance Group of New York."
