Title

Negril Craft Markets

Description

"To the traveller, or curious onlooker, Negril Crafts Market, situated in the heart of Negril is a market with a difference. The new wing consisting of 24 shops, was opened last December, just before Christmas, by the Minister of Tourism, Mr. Anthony Abrahams. In addition to the usual straw goods and clothing made from local material, there are also vegetables, fruits and ground provision stalls. These shops are patronised by tourists, many of whom live in and around Negril. This clothing and basketry shop, operated by Mrs. Beatrice Stewart, seems to have what Carl Stark and Michele Lester of New York have been shopping for."
