Title

Lister Mair-Gilby School for the Deaf

Description

"Students from the Lister Mair-Gilby School for the Deaf perform a lively and lighthearted dance at the launching of the JAMAL-Jamaica Association for the Deaf Project, which was declared officially underway by Justice and Education Minister Carl Rattray yesterday afternoon at the JAMAL Headquarters. Guest speaker at the ceremony was Industry and Commerce Minister Danny Williams, who has long been association with both organisations. The official launch followed a successful pilot project in which JAMAL and JAD joined forces to bring literacy to adults with hearing handicaps in the Corporate Area. The programme is now being geared to take its service to those who need it all over Jamaica."
