St. Saviour's Church

"St. Saviour's Church in Lime Hall, St. Ann, marked it's 61st anniversary on July 7 with hundreds of people turning out to mark the occasion. The site on which the church now stands was bought in 1903 by Rector C.H. Swaby, but actual work on the construction started about seven years later, in September 1910. Plans for the construction were prepared under the direction of the then Archbishop of the West Indies, the Most Rev. Enos Nuttall. The plan of the building was placed in a special place in the sanctuary by St. Ann's Custos Anderson-Cocks on March 14, 1912. The church was consecration the following year, May 9, 1913 by the Rev. Albert Ernest Joscelyn. The building is 60ft. long and 30 ft. wide. A mission chapel formerly occupied the spot where the St. Saviour's Anglican Church was built."
