New building G.S.B. Credit Union

"The new three-storey office building of the G.S.B. Clerks Co-operative Credit Union Limited will be officially opened on Monday at 5:30 p.m. Guest Speaker will be Minister of Agriculture Keble Munn, under whose portfolio co-operatives fall. The new building covers a gross area of 9,672 square feet of which 7,754 square feet are the next rentable area. The land space is 11,737 square feet. It is situated at 10 East Avenue, Kingston Gardens.

The Architect on the project was Mostyn Campbell, himself a member of the credit union. Ground was broken on September 19, 1973 and work completed in December 1974. The final cost of construction is $247,518. Interim financing was provided by Workers Savings and Loan Bank."
