Kiwanis Maternity Clinic

Description

"In 1969 the Kiwanis Club of Kingston built a Maternity Clinic in Western Kingston's Industrial Estate to serve the citizens of that area at a cost of $30,000.

The first child born at the Clinic was St. Stephen Kiwanis and every year since then the birthday of St. Stephen, July 11, has been recognised by the Club.

Photo shows Frank "Sonny" Woolward, Chairman of the Club's Boys and Girls Committee (right), handing St. Stephen this year's birthday present. On the left is Kingston Kiwanis Club Director Tommy Smith."
