Chairman Hopeton Caven makes a passionate appeal to trade union delegates

"Putting everything into it: Joint Trade Unions Research Development Centre, chairman Hopeton Caven, who is also general secretary of the T.U.C., makes a "passionate appeal" to trade union delegates to recognise the value of discipline and continuing education, in order to be able to cope with the times. Mr. Caven was speaking at the closing exercises of a two-week basic course for union delegates conducted by the JTURDC and concluded last Friday. BITU Assistant Island Supervisor, Dwight Nelson [right], a director of the JTURDC and Mrs. Elaine Ferguson, resource coordinator who was part of the Centre's education department involved in conducting the course."
