Kent Village near Bog Walk

"The path of death: The photograph at right shows the path taken by the Ford truck after it collided with a Chevrolet motor car on Sunday at Kent Village near Bog Walk, while above is spot where the vehicle came to rest. Two people, Private Balford Barrett, 22, and Mike Higgins, 17, lost their lives when the truck took the fatal plunge into the Rio Cobre River. It was returning to Kingston after an excursion to Montego Bay. The police have now called off a search for two bodies that were reported missing after the accident. But up to yesterday no one was able to say precisely how many people were aboard the truck and if any were in fact missing. The police up to Press time had not collected any statement from the driver of the truck as his address was not known to them. The other picture shows curious on-lookers viewing the accident scene yesterday."
