"Bonanza winners thrilled with their prizes: Racing Pools June Bonanza winners Mr. G.H. Harvey and Mrs. I.L. Cunningham were thrilled with the prizes presented to them at the Racing Promotions Limited Head Office on Friday, June 8. They were two of the ten persons who received prizes including waffle irons, steam irons, toaster and blow dryers in the special Racing Pools June Bonanza.
Mr. Harvey hails from Bethel Town in Westmoreland where he says the Pools has caught on very well. Although he is not able to attend races, he does not miss a commentary on the radio. 'The Pools is a lovely game,' says Mr. Harvey, 'It's the best thing we have seen here for a long time.'
Mrs. Cunningham is a dedicated pools player. 'I lived in England for quite a while, she says, and I enjoyed playing the football pools. The Racing Pools in almost like it - only nicer.'"
