Accident on Church Pen main road
Description
"Six occupants, all of a Ministry of Agriculture motor truck, [top] were treated at the Spanish Town Hospital for minor injuries last week Wednesday after an accident involving a Ford Escort [below] motorcar on the Church Pen main road near Old Harbour. Police reports said the truck which was being driven by JDF Sergeant Clifton Wright was travelling towards Spanish Town at about 5:45 pm. when the left front wheel fell into a pot hole. The truck skidded, spun around and the rear of the truck crashed into the Escort which had been parked on the right hand side of the road. The truck then fell on its side. The car is owned by Joslyn Popley of Old Harbour. Pictures show the ill-fated vehicles and curious persons at the scene."
