"The tennis tournament played recently on the Championship courts at Goblin Hill and sponsored jointly by the hotel and Tia Maria, was very successful. The tournament, sanctioned by the Jamaica Lawn Tennis Association, attracted guests and outsiders. In the final of the men's doubles, Philbert Palmer and Trevor Campbell beat Horace Watkins and Mike Nelson (U.S.A.) in straight sets 6-4, 6-2. In the singles final, Philbert Palmer defeated Trevor Campbell. Goblin Hill Hotel and Villas, San San, Port Antonio plans to run similar tournaments every month-end.
