Causeway accident - St. Catherine

"Causeway accident: traffic using the Causeway in St. Catherine was held up for several minutes yesterday afternoon after an accident involving this Leyland passenger bus and a Toyota motorcar [foreground]. Most eyewitness reports said the car was attempting to overtake the bus on the left approaching the bridge from Kingston direction when it became entangled in the front bus bumper. After several "near misses" both came to a halt on the bridge without injury to anyone. The bus was being driven by Trevor Calder of Anderson Road, Kingston 4, while the car was being driven by Police Detective Corporal Franklyn Mitchell."
