"Overturned bus - A no. 33 JOS bus overturned at Forest Hills yesterday morning on it 7 o'clock trip downtown. It left 40 of its some 60 passengers with slight injuries. Unconfirmed reports are that the brakes failed and driver Lingon Miller, in an attempt to bring it to a stop, hugged the right [curb] for a few yards then wedged the bus between a retaining wall and a light pole. Passengers got out through a back window."
