"Staff and Friends of the National Chest Hospital admiring chairs donated to the institution by several business places. The collection of the chairs was organised by an enthusiastic friend, Mrs. Thelmas DaCosta, [right]. Standing beside her is Matron Carmen Brooks who accepted the chairs on behalf of the institution . The companies were responding to the appeals made by the staff of National Chest during the celebration of their 40th anniversary."
