"KIWANIS KEY CLUB DEBATE: RJR sales manager, Milton Weller, declaring open the 1983 Key Club debating season, for High Schools, being sponsored this year by RJR. The first three debates took place at Dunoon Technical High School on January 25, with six schools participating. The moot of the Kingston College-Dunoon Technical High School debate was "Jamaica should channel more of its resources in developing agriculture instead of manufacturing." St. George's College and Gaynstead debated the moot "Should Jamaica become a state of the USA?" and the moot for the Camperdown-St. Hugh's debate was "CXC examination should not be substituted for GCE Examinations." "
