Ruin at 4a Somerset Avenue
Title
Ruin at 4a Somerset Avenue
Description
"This ruin at 4a Somerset Avenue, Kingston 16, recently housed a dry-cleaning establishment, a tailor shop and a four bedroom house. But all was totally destroyed by fire on Monday. The ex-occupants of the house reported that at about 3:30 a.m. on Monday they were awakened by strange sounds and realised that attempts were being made to enter the premises. The two women were afraid and did not venture outside until they were forced to do so by fire some time afterwards. Dry cleaning establishment owner, Clive Wellington and tailor shop owner Clifford Clayton said that their losses run into thousands of dollars and an equipment and machines were destroyed. They were not insured."
