"In what can be regarded as the first sign of Christmas, the Mayor of Kingston, Councillor Arthur Jones (third right) is seen receiving the annual gift of a Christmas tree donated by Sangunay Shipping Lines of Canada from Captain Milton Trakas of the ship 'Son Arawak'.
In thanking the Captain and the shipping line on behalf of the citizens of Kingston, Mayor Jones said that the annual gift of the tree would bring much pleasure to the citizens of Kingston over the Christmas holidays.
Others from left are: Mrs. Sheila Pessoa; Chief Engineer D. Pappas C.N.; John Ebanks, General Manager of Jamaica Freight and Shipping (partly hidden); Mrs. Lucenn Wade; Jimmy McLachlan, Acting Director of Public Relations of the Kingston and St. Andrew Corporation, and Carlus Nelson, an officer of the Kingston and St. Andrew Corporation."
