Nazareth Moravian Church

"Nazareth Moravian Church in Maidstone, Manchester, held a musical extravaganza early this month to raise money for its building fund. Although the day was wet and there was the inevitable power outage, members turned out in large numbers to enjoy the music and sample a variety of dishes. The extravaganza was organised by the church committee headed by Mrs. Lucille Morrison, police officer Guy Roberts, Inspector John Frith and the Rev. Levi Watson. The Police Male Voice Chorus and the Constabulary Force Band performed. The evening's programme included hymns, marches, overtures and Negro Spirituals and had a grand ending with Handel's 'Hallelujah Chorus'."
