Jamaica National Hockey Squad

"Team members of the Jamaica National Hockey Squad took time out from a practice session at the Mona Fields recently to receive four cases of Ovaltine - the selected natural goodness drink for the Caribbean Women's Hockey Tournament - from Glenn Wilmot (3rd left), marketing manager for Wander (Jamaica) Limited. Mrs. Marguerite Cooke (2nd left), president of the Jamaica Women's Hockey Association, looks on. Teams from Trinidad, Bahamas, Guyana and host country Jamaica will be vying for top honours in the tournament, that will take place from July 21 to 31. Matches will be played at the Mona Fields and at Kirkvine in Mandeville. In addition to supplying product for the Jamaican participants, Wander has provided four lignum vitae plaques, to be presented to outstanding players, track suits for the Jamaican tam and 100 T-shirts which will be on sale at the matches - to help cover costs of the tournament. In addition, the company sponsored Mike Holding to the tune of $140 in the 'Lapathon' which was held at the National Stadium to launch the JHWA's fund-raising drive."
