Entrance to Castleton Gardens
Description
A view of one of the two main entrances to the Castleton Botanical Gardens, one of the oldest public garden in the western hemisphere. Built on land that was once a sugar plantation belonging to Colonel Castle, it became a botanical garden in 1862 to replace the garden at Bath, St. Thomas that was susceptible to frequent flooding.
