Tana grass
Title
Tana grass
Description
"This is grass, but not the type which you'll find anywhere in the island. it is the Tana grass which was brought in from Trinidad last December and being experimented with at the Grove Place Research Station. About 36.5 acres have been planted. Findings have shown that it is easy to establish, is ready to be grazed on in a few weeks, that it needs plenty of nitrogenous fertilizer and that it spreads quickly. the grass also thrives well on clayey soil, strangles weed and is easily digested. A number of farmers have already received some of this grass to establish their own pastures."
