"The Men's Doubles Final in the Rothmans Open Badminton Tournament was a fantastic fight between the venly matched pair of Elo Hansen and Fleming Delfs of Denmark and the English pair of Mike Tredgett and Ray Stevens. The large crowd was treated to grand smashed and trick shots in the battle which ended with the British pair winning in three sets 13-15, 15-4 and 15-11. It was certainly the best match of the Tournament."
