"This is the question on the lips of cricket fans as they prepare for the visit of the Pakistan cricketers and the fifth test match which is scheduled for Jamaica from April 18 to 30 and possibly with an extra day.
The question surrounds Sabina Park, not the buildings and other facilities which have been causing concern for some time now, but the actual playing area. The field was dug up after last year's domestic season, graded and grass planted. Now with only two months to go before test match time, many are expressing doubt as there are many bare spots and a lot of high weed. But the officials are positive that they will make it in time for the Jamaica-Pakistan set for April 9. Over the past few days small boys have assisted in weeding the field and yesterday it was the turn of the Impact Programme workers who are seen in the photo at work. But while there is concern about the outfield there is none about the pitch which is green and lush and waiting for some fast bowlers."
