Guinness award to RJR

"Ray Martin [centre left], Managing Director of Guinness Jamaica Limited, presents the Guinness Stout Effort Award to Spaulding, Managing Director of Radio Jamaica Limited. The company received the launching and administering the Eventide Home Rebuilding Fund, immediately after a wing of the Home was destroyed by fire taking the lives of 147 old women. At left are four members of the Stout Effort Award Committee: J.R. Herron, Guinness America Marketing Manager, Don Cooper of RJR, Lee, J.R. Herron, Guinness Jamaica Marketing manager, Mr. Neville Toyloy of the Gleaner and Mr. Carl Wint of the Daily News who along with Mr. Michael Ruddock of the JBC unanimously elected the recipient. At right is RJR representatives Mrs. Dorothy LaCroix, Programmes Supervisor and Milton Weller, Sales Manager. The award took place at a luncheon held on Thursday last at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel."
