The National Library of Jamaica (NLJ) charges a usage fee based on its ownership of the physical materials in its collections. This fee represents no claim to copyright or the issuance of permission as the copyright holder. The NLJ will only issue permission for use under copyright, when the copyright is owned to the NLJ; or such permission through the rights owner is agreed upon, for the NLJ to contractually issue permissions on one’s behalf.
