"The Morant Bay Methodist Church Youth Band which was formed 2 1/4 years ago through the instrumentality of the Church pastor Rev. Lindley Rankine to keep the youths of the capital off the streets doing unproductive things and keep them occupied. The Band is not only doing pretty well by fitting in various engagement in and out of the parish, but us plans to do its own recording 15-year-old Seaforth Secondary School student Jeremy George at the mike with ''I believe'' thrilled his audience at Rudolph Elder Park in Morant Bay band stand on Sunday at an Ecumenical Service to mark the beginning of the Nation's 15th Independence celebration. The group will be holding a fund-raising convert at Baker Hall in Morant Bay on Friday assist them to purchase their recording equipment and other instrument for the band."
