Title

Holy Rosary Church

Description

"Today, many Christians celebrate the fact that Christ rose from the dead three days after he was crucified nearly 2,000 years ago. Others of the same faith celebrate the two public holidays of the Easter weekend with beach outings and the local tradition of bun and cheese, while some manage to fit in both religious and secular activities. What can Easter really mean to the contemporary Jamaican? Turn to the centre spread and see how five of our clergymen see the situation. Above is a scene from a two hour Good Friday pageant, in the Windward Road Area, where Holy Rosary Church members acted out the Passion of Christ. Here, Jesus is taken down from the cross."
