"They're off - Happy days are ahead. That seems to be the mood of the Jamaica Women's Hockey Association's team as they left the Norman Manley International Airport yesterday afternoon for Nassau, Bahamas and the first Caribbean Under-21 hockey tournament which begins today.

Apart from Jamaica, the other countries vying for the Caribbean Cup are Trinidad, Bermuda and the Bahamas.

The Jamaica party consists of: Coach - Meg Cooper, manager - Carol Cuffley, JWHA president Mrs. Kay Wilson (at far left in picture) and the 15 players - Ann Lewis - captain, Donna Kerr - vice captain, Carol Robinson, Sharon Chambers, Karen Gascoigne, Allyson Johnson, Patricia Barber, Christine Chambers, Golda Downer, Carmen Barker, Marcia Wakeland, Myrtle Robotham, Lorraine McLeod, Michelle Holt, and Audrey Hibbert.

Jamaica tackle Trinidad in their first game today before going against Bermuda tomorrow and Bahamas on Thursday. The return matches start on Friday."
